All that being said I need to draw attention to the most important part of the awards...any awards show, really. The red carpet. I have a need to "rank" things, ever since I was a kid. I like to pick my favorites and rank them downward. It's Monday and I thought it would be fun and mindless to share my favorites and least favorites. All photos from people.com.
#1. Gwyneth Paltrow. She looks stunning. I love the dress, it's different and it's very "her" but racier. My Dad hates her. Sorry Dad.
2. Emily Blunt. I'm not a huge fan of hers. Probably because she always looks bored. But I just love this dress and I think it looks elegant on her bored body.
3. Heidi Klum. Everyone loves Heidi, don't deny it. I think this dress is SO fun and I applaud her for wearing it. She's a fashion mogul. Embrace it.
4. Julie Bowen. Don't like her much. After that whole "I only wanted one kid and ended up with 2" debacle. Read and judge here. But guess what? She's rocking this dress like it's her job. I guess it kind of IS her job...
5. Elisabeth Moss. So now that I'm addicted to Mad Men I think she's the cat's meow. She doesn't look like everyone else, which is refreshing. She always wears very classic and old world fashion-style gowns and I feel like if I was famous I would want her stylist dressing me.
I feel better now.
I also hate Gwyneth lol. And Christian Siriano (winner of Project Runway) designed Heidi's dress! I can't wait to watch Fashion Police on E! in the next couple of days to listen to their thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI watched 3/4 of the Emmys before falling asleep - it was great!! Jane Lynch should host every year, she was hilarious!! And she looked absolutely fabulous! I'm going to have to read your Julie Bowen story as I love her and am so glad she won best actress! I also think Sofia Vargara looked amazing, but she always does.

ReplyDeleteI didn't catch the Emmys either... I was back from a weekend at the beach and completely exhausted.
I've got to say, I really don't judge Julie Bowen for her comment about the kids. Having my own sweet monsters, I'd probably cry if I got pregnant and then found out I was having twins! lol That's all said in jest. If I did ever have twins, I'd figure it out, but I can say for sure, the two I have can run circles around me and if I had two the same age... Oh My!! It'd be crazy town at my house. =)
